Re: I can’t cope

Good on you for standing your ground @Captain24  and am glad to hear that your shift went so well. Hope you get some good sleep

Re: I can’t cope

Work has been a great distraction @Snowie. I haven’t had anytime to think. I get looked after pretty well most days. All the guys that assign the tasks for the day know about my MI so they take that into consideration.

I am so proud for standing my ground @Bow. That takes a lot for me.

I slept well until the neighbour started mowing their lawn! So I’ve woken up early from a good sleep. It’s going to make tonight hard. Im not sure how many times you need to run the lawn mower over the same section of lawn!!! It’s driving me crazy and I’m all ready crazy!

I’ve packed my lunch, clean the kitchen and done some ironing. All before I usually get up. At least I’ll come home to a clean house though.

Here’s to a good last shift.

Re: I can’t cope

Thats not good that you woke up early @Captain24 but hopefully you have gotten enough sleep for tonight's shift.

I hope it goes well hon, you certainly have deserved a few days off.

Re: I can’t cope

Have a good day 💗💗

Re: I can’t cope

Work wasn’t great. The task was fine but my trucks didn’t have a heater and kept blowing cold air even with everything turned off. It got down to -3degrees last night. I was so cold. My body was so tense trying to warm up. I couldn’t feel my hands or my feet. I set off the cameras constantly and my boss called me up and was pissed off when I said how cold I was. He told me to take the truck to workshop and get in another, with attitude. The next truck has a heater. I was in it for an hr when I had to swap into another one. That one didn’t have a heater either. Then it broke down. Instead of letting me finish 30 mins early they put my into another truck and I drove to where I had to go then turned around and drove back because it was the end of shift.

I came home and Pixie had vomited all through her bed. I take her outside then she vomits again and had a lot of running poop. So she needed a wash. I fed her and medicated her. Then went and had a really long hot shower and got into bed.

I have slept all day. I still feel really cold.  I feel really flat. It’s a little disheartening after I was feeling ok.

Sorry for venting but I have just hated the last 24hrs and feel the need to put it somewhere.

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @Captain24
That sounds like a heck of a 24hours you've had. Thank you for sharing. Work sounds like it didn't give you the best time and little Pixie was needing some extra care from you!

Glad you got in a shower for yourself. It sometimes helps to wash away the day.

Holding lots of space for you to get through this time 💛

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks @fluffylight.

Im just really irritated. I got woken up early yesterday afternoon with the guy next door mowing the lawn which started my nightshift on the wrong foot. Now he is mowing the same strip with 3 different lawn mowers.

It’s driving me crazy and I’m already crazing.

I think I really need to go back to bed soon. I got into bed at 8:30 this morning and got out at 4 this afternoon.

How has your day been?

Re: I can’t cope

Ohh!! That does sound so irritating. I hate when my sleep gets broken it impacts my whole day.

You recognise what you need - rest in bed!

I didn't get enough sleep today so my day started with my anxiety on a high but its doing much better now and got some take away Oporto 🙊. Thank you for asking 🙂
