Hey @oceangirl my son just called one of our cats "soulful"... ... Probably a good description for me
@MissinTooth @TAB @PeppyPatti and all
I try to limit the news intake. Rarely watch videos
Just scan headlines from a few publications. Enough to have an idea....
Good morning

@Appleblossom I don't do the news either.
I found that the news saturation during COVID had an impact on me and on my anxiety. I became so...engrossed and focused on it. So, I chose to pull back from it. I still choose to separate myself from what's happening in the news.

@TAB when I was little my dad used to drop Easter eggs to our neighbours and the Convent of the Catholic school that I went to. Phantom Easter Egg deliverer.
I think the neighbourhood knew who it was but never let on 🤭

Totes agree about news media @Appleblossom @TAB @PeppyPatti @Bunniekins @MissinTooth
BBC World Service on the radio, while I drive 3 minutes from the Bitumen road, down the limestone track to the A-frame.
That’s enough.
After all I can’t do anything to stop whatever it is that they are reporting on.
I’ve done 30 years of civil rights protests 🪧 🚩 I think that’s enough.

@Glisten hey G! my daughter and i get the australian and sit down together and she reads it out loud. we generally read the international news that is our favorite section. we then discuss the various articles which we generally have a chuckle or a sigh of despair.
it is part of our mum and daughter time.

um was in like grade 2 and had to sit still and keep quiet. then teacher opened the door and the easter bunny had been, ha ha, on a school day as well..
mum used to hide easter eggs in garden for us. never got caught putting them there. guess we were more predictable than we thought . we used to get easter eggs from Germany and were like what the heck is this ? very pretty and ornate, and coloured, but was like hard sugar. think thats what they do in england as well, ie not chocolate. could still eat it , but very hard and just sweet. @Glisten we got practical after pretense of easter bunny was over. blocks of chocolate were better quality and cheaper, so it was that for years. big block of cadburies of your choice. hazelnut, thanks..😊

@Bunniekins that is a beautiful tradition to have with your daughter. I would have if I could have, but was blocked from having natural conversations with her from a young age. By the time my son was born I was silenced beyond the basics. There was an older domineering child in the house. Maybe I stayed too long, 16 years, but I was also physically disabled with my neck and it took a long time to get well enough to be able to leave at all.
@Glisten me too, re news and social justice.
