Wow, this is a really long thread in a short timeframe
1998-2003 I studied arts at TAFE, Monash Uni and then honours year at ANU (I broke that year and was admitted to CATT)
I stopped making art by '04
2020-2022 with lockdown in Melbourne, I painted as gifts. Not Art, just daggy pet portraits for friends
Just recently, either starting 2023 or 24, I started trying Art Therapy. My skills died long ago. There is no such thing as "Natural talent", there is only practice. And I have lacked practice
A lot of it is Parts-Work including IFS (Internal Family Systems therapy) and just letting Parts express themselves through FOT Focusing Oriented Therapy methods (Pioneered by Eugene Gendlin and Ann Cornell)
(The reference photo for the B&W pastel/woman screaming was AI generated then hand drawn in pastel. Just for transparency and honesty)
